Benzelsanswered grow question 3 years ago Its better than a closet by about 200%. Air flow is better so u avoid ALL the issues that come with bad air flow. And its a long list. Mold, bugs, slow growth ect ect...
Whats the draw back? well temp control can be an issue but if you keep the room not too warm or cool then its better than a closet again for that reason. Its SOOOO hard to control temps in a small space, so I always suggest growing in the biggest space you can control the temp and air flow into. If thats a whole room then brilliant.
To fix the "issue" lols, of the light not reflecting off the walls, if you do the maths and work out how much light is actually getting to the plant VS what is bouncing off the walls, dropping the light by 1-2 INCHES is enough to offset it unless your running a very powerful light that can actually bounce a lot of light off those walls. Ive never even worried about the light reflecting off walls in grows before, If my lights are so weak I need to start figuring out and adding up if the walls are reflecting enough light then its time to get some better lights. My ideal grow room would have bare walls that were easy to clean, so bare cement most likely, and enough space I could walk around each plant 360 degrees from all sides, so that means a good 2-3 foot away from the walls, so light reflecting off them would never even be a consideration. If your going to build a grow tent out of material- u mind as well use something thats reflective too right? or if your building a grow room and your protecting the walls from damage with either plastic or something else, mind as well make it reflective too while your at it right? Thats the main reason pple use it. But bare walls painted with a matt paint, are actually very very good at reflecting light- so in the corner with the light at the right distance- sounds like a perfect lil grow if you dont mind the light brightening up that room for 18 hrs a day. Its totally fine.
