Best substrate for seedlings

Hi! I lost a seedling to damping off even though I'd water a little and wait days. So I want to know the best substrate for organic growing to avoid that. My girl was on 60 coco/40 vermiculite in a 300 ml cup

The easiest for new growers would be a mix of peat and perlite. Mix it at 50-50 ratio. Best of luck.

@Rangaku yes, she was in a cup, I thought smaller containers were better at first. I can't buy good pre mixed soil here, but I'll try to find the contents of those mentioned here.

When you say cup was it just a cup ? You need something that drains freely that dries out before the next water to encourage those roots to go looking. Coco mixed with half coco chips works great

Yo utilizo un sustrato light mix BioBizz pero tu puedes usar cualquiera, ese tipo de sustrato va muy bien porque tiene bajo contenido de fertilizantes y un pH equilibrado. Si estas en un sitio con mucha humedad podrías agregar más fibra de coco para hacer mas aireado tu sustrato y la retención de liquido sea menor. Buenos humos! 👌
