Wrong light schedule

Screwed up light timing. Thought I was on an 18/6 schedule in my tent but apparently it was 12/12 from weeks 3-7. It’s close to needing to be switched over to flowering size wise. I switched over properly to 18/6 two days ago and plan to keep it there for an extra week. Yes?

Hey there DrDing, will everything be okay? only way to know is to grow. But you're right to be worried , light schedule fluctuations like you're doing (12/12 to 18/6 and back again week on week) can cause light stress to the plant or delay flowering. it can also cause the plant to "get confused" and flower and veg at the same time , a technique called "super cropping" or (monster cropping? i think different growers sometimes use the same terms for different things). So perhaps it's a good thing, but dont let up your vigilance and check them fully every few days for nanners , if you can catch them quick enough you'll be able to control it. hope this helps ! 🚀

I can't understand how they didn't start to flower yet. When people do 12/12 from start - third - forth week starts flowering. They spent 4 weeks in that window ... Are you sure with your timing ???? I won't change anything , especially only for week.

Hi DrDidg, I checked out your diary and congrats. Going great. I wouldn't change to 18/6, though I guess it won't hurt. If you have enough space in your grow you don't have to worry about the extra stretch when growing 12/12 earlier. They will start the flowering anytime soon without switching to 18/6 and back to 12/12. And btw check if it's exactly 12/12. some timers, specially analog timers, don't work with much precision. Good luck 👊

Yeah everything should be OK switching to 18/6 for a week. Or seems they been doing fine on 12/12 you could leave them at that. I'd be more tempted to leave on 12/12
