Remove whatever it is by hand and use some bleach or pool shock to cleanse your system. Then I'd scrub and clean all your tubing and every bucket. Sanitize everything. If it is a larvae or some bug, it is in your water and since you are using what looks like RDWC, your other plants have been exposed. Cutting the roots will shock your plant and make it less able to fight off whatever you have. Also root trimming doesn't actually increase root mass. There are more root tips, but root mass stays the same, so cutting roots only slows down the plants. (There are some white papers on root trimming in hydro if you'd like to research it) good luck.

Yeah that’s not good. Get em out of there, like roberts said cut em out or whatever you have to do. They’re living off them most likely which will be harmful in the long run. If it’s an auto - I’d probably scrap it. If it’s a photo period it will recover quickly, just wait to flip til it has

@Roberts, does that not shock the plant? I can't find a lot of info about worms in hydro. But they shouldn't damage the plant, or am I wrong?

I would prune the roots off and bring solution back up. Just cut all that away. As long as your not flowering it will come back thicker as well.

It's one plant. The others don't have it.
