It all depends on the light. Burple led at 100w possibly 12" while a quantum board or newer bar 24". Or a Florescent tube 16".

Can I use 18 on 6 off during flower when growing autoflowers and using ViparSpectra KS5000 LED at 100% power?I have a tent with a ViparSpectra KS5000 LED lights. Light distance and power with a 205W Sanlight LEDSanlight told me I should use it dimmed at 80% and 45cm when in flowering. I was aiming to reach lower buds so I put it at 100% and 50cm from the upper buds. The tips of the leaves are slightly burned but no bud bleaching yet like my last run (at 100% 45cm). What's best ? OK to switch from 12/12 to 18/6 for auto in flower?Is it OK to switch an auto from 12/12 to 18/6 when in flower (2 weeks)?
I moved the plants from the attic which was way too hot and tried the 12/12 schedule to reduce the heat. Now that they are in an AC spare room wondering if it would be worth switching. Appreciate the support!Setup. Lighting
