Hello guys, as you can see, my roots are beginning to spread on the grow tent floor.. I was going to use a scrog net, but I think when it is installed and the plants have grown in, the pots are going to be immovable. what do I do with these roots? is it safe to cut them off?

I would leave them and set up a empty drip tray with a riser/screen above it so the drips are getting collected into something and the pot is not making a direct contact with the floor. something like this goes into the drip tray and allows air movement below the pot so it does not get to humid and form more roots so they prune via air. https://wholesalehydroponics.ca/plant-riser.html I'd also empty the saucers after watering and again later that day to prevent a high RH at the root zone, I'd also try and get a larger saucer then the pot so its not making a sealed off area with the pots diameter. eg if pot is 8" don't get a 8" drip tray get a 10-12" tray with that riser/screen. have some buffer room around the pot so air can get in. Good Luck!

If the roots are exposed to air, they will prune themselves... you need to make sure the pot is not sitting in water at all because this will keep them growing and prevent them from pruning themselves.... Good luck!

I know, but can it be, that high air humidity stops this process? because let me tell you, the roots are growing each day a bit more.. and they are showing on the bottom since I don't know, week 2 or 3 maybe... I was just scared, that the plants could take more nutrients and in higher concentration than neccesary, to lead to toxicity. Thank you very much then, I can rest assured.

more information: Now I let the excess water drip on the floor, and I collect it with a sponge, before that, the drip tray was full with water and the roots were hanging in the dripoff water.. I don't want the roots to burn, or make the plant take too much nutrients, which are collected and washed away with excess water...
