Seed Support

I have always been gifted seeds and most of those seeds are not identified. My struggle is how to grow any specific strain without information. No support, no grow guide, no helpful information. My question is this. What seed banks, sellers, etc. provide this information?

Same way you grow any other strain/seed. Read your plant. Like Creepy Steve said, react to what it is doing. I have run more strains than I can remember at this point. The vast majority were just fine using standard growing procedures (ph'd water during seedling stage, low ppm nutes from there to mid veg, increase ppm for late veg, mix bloom and veg nutes during flip, bloom nutes for flower, harvest using bud structure/appearance and trichomes amber percentage. Occasionally some strains do not play well with the same mixture I feed the rest. Right now having that issue with CBD plant, it doesn't like the high ppm and is showing nitrogen burn (leaf tips yellow/burning appearance.) Gonna lower ppm next feed and see how she reacts. Biggest thing is learning signs and symptoms of over/under watering, ph lockout, and nutrient deficiencies and burn, there are plenty of trouble shooting charts available online.

All seedbanks/breeders label their seeds, they just don't send random unidentified seeds to you for top dollar! Otherwise it is impossible to identify any strain just by looking at a seed..........IMPOSSIBLE!

despite common beleifs, most of these plants want the same thing... and those that don't are easy to react to. i wouldn't trust any breeder's info on the strain... they'll write anything to sell seed. sometimes the smell/flavor isn't even close... definitely can't trust the flower times -- that last one is for good reason... lots of opinions makes harvest a bit of a grey area. a good ratio and concentration of nutes will work on 95% of plants... with some small adjustments to stage of life cycle. if your mix only works for some, consider playing around with that mix or trying a different brand, because it is definitely possible. Even with 7 different strains, can make them all happy and never see symptoms or at worst some insignificant and isolated blemish by harvest.

Hi Tremojem, I'm very new at growing but my thought is to assume 1) regular photo period that you will have to determine the sex. My reason is that Autos are new in the cannabis industry and some breeders have not stabilized the autoflower gene and the seed will still have photo traits dominant. Follow your normal germinate and grow process. If you see fast growth thru veg, then you probably have an auto and adjust your grow calendar for a 3- 4 month grow.😊 If it male get rid of it unless you want to pollinate and get seeds. Good luck with your grow.

You want to know how to identify what seeds you have? The only way you can do anything here is to plant them up and follow basic care/feeding/conditions for growing ANY weed... Most likely all of the seeds you have will be photoperiods so you ought not to have to learn anything about autoflowers - I mean, if these are seeds someone else has produced and given to you, they really CAN'T be autoflowers... So just find some basic information on growing a photoperiod and give it a go! You can always come here if you've got a specific question about what to do or if you have a situation with your plant you don't understand... Leafly has a good intro to the basics of growing - and some of the things you're going to need to know/buy/decide/etc... https://www.leafly.com/learn/growing Good luck...

Hola !!! Suerte
