My grow tent drops down to 65 (75-80 with the fan on low settings during 16 hour light cycles) during the off 8 hours of the light cycle, I would like to establish a more consistent temperature, or at least ideally keep the grow tent closer to 70 while the lights are off. How?

hi, iam using small Infrared heater with thermostate to keep the Temps around 70 degree. Those little ones are doing great. Ive choosen one with only 300 watts to save my electricity bill. And it wents on if temperatures are dropping. ........But you can start with extern conditions.. do you have aplace that is wamer=? can you " isolate" the Tent=?for outside with styropor// cardboard//And last solution is giving her external heat from a heater...

I use the InkBird temperature controller and a cheap heater both from amazon. Very easy setup. Plug the controller into your outlet, position the temperature probe on the controller somewhere out of the way in your room, set the controller to your desired temp and you're all set!! 🤘

Troy_McClure, your doing great. My advice on the dancing seedlings, i would lower the air movement a little bit. Its normaly very good for stem development and growth to make them move like that, but they are still young and fragile. Also it may stabelise the temprature more, try to only mesuire at canopy level where the temp and humidity matters. Also if your humidifier doenst give enough humid, you can spray your girls with just plain water to up the humid. Hope this was an helpfull answer. Keep on growing my friend. Peace 👍

Plants do need cooler temps during lights out period, it's normal. You can use a Grow Tent Heater that will automatically start when temps drop below a certain amount.

@Troy_McClure Hi Troy your plants actually prefer about a 10 degree difference in temps during lights on and lights off as it mimics the natural environment the plants would be growing in The only time to worry is if the lights off period gets too cold which can have negative effects.

I had the same problem and got the tip to put a Styrofoam plate on the floor and it helped. Maybe it will help you too.
