Making a topping cut on an autoflowering cannabis plant has both risks and benefits. Here are some of them: Risks: Plant stress: Topping involves removing the main shoot of the plant, which can cause stress and potentially affect its growth and development. Delayed flowering: By removing the main shoot, the plant needs time to recover and produce new shoots, which can delay the onset of the flowering stage. Benefits: Increased branching: Topping encourages lateral growth, resulting in a more branched structure. This can lead to increased overall bud development. Height control: If you have height restrictions in your growing space, topping can help you control the plant's size and keep it within desired limits. Enhanced yield potential: By promoting a more branched structure, topping can increase the potential for higher bud production. It's important to note that the response of autoflowering cannabis plants to topping may vary, as they are genetically programmed to follow a specific growth and flowering cycle. Some plants may tolerate topping better than others. If you decide to top an autoflowering cannabis plant, it's recommended to do it during the early vegetative phase, ensuring you use clean and sterilized tools to minimize the risk of infections. Remember that each plant is unique, and results may vary. Observe and evaluate how your plant responds to topping, and adjust your cultivation techniques accordingly. I hope this information is helpful. Good luck with your cultivation!

Photoperoids: yes Autoflowers: normally no Every time you top it takes the plant time to recover from it. you can set back you veg period a lot if you want to get to the same mass of plant as 8weeks solid veg no topping. Autos tend to go into shock and flower earlier then normal when stressed and topping is a form of HST or high stress training. They also have a shorter time span before they are pre programmed into flower so they don't have a large window of recovery like photoperiods do. I've topped autos and liked it. I've also topped autos and hated it. I almost always top my photoperiods. Good Luck!

I wouldn't touch the autos.. As its too far gone now. The fems. Well. Sure. Top 1-2 even. See what type of style your into. We only learn by trying. And, topping,, yes gives you to main sites. But, you're really getting all nodes that would of been below the main cola and have less bulk. Whereas if you do top. Depending on how many sets of nodes you keep. You'll have a much more defined sets with even bud amounts. Overall, you'll get more topping with you been outside. (If you are limiting the grows weeks) If you're planning pushing right till the harvest point for outdoors Left alone will be best and when they get bigger, take them away from that wall. Unless its in the sunshine. Good Growing Good Growing.
