You have seeds sitting on top of bone dry soil, what do you expect them to do? For seeds to germinate they need a combination of moisture and warmth. Bury those seeds about 1 inch(or about 2 cm if your metric) and water them. I like to give seeds an overnight soak in a glass of water to soften the shell but it's not required.

Do I need to have my light turned on to start my germination!?Just wondering if I need to turn the light on in my tent whilst I germinate, I plan to soak in water then possibly transfer to a paper towel after or into my final pot, so in short does the light need to be on for the 3 day germination period?

How much should i water in the beggining?I'm growing Green Gelato Auto from RQS, this is the first day and it's hot outside (31ºC). I don't know if I'm watering too much or too little. I spray with water 10 times but it dries up after a few hours. Should I water it more?

T5 veg? For seedlings If anyone has any idea how long I can veg my seedlings inside of a closet with 2 t5 fluorescents.. let me know! I’m close to harvest with my first round, but they still have another 2-3 weeks at least and i can’t put my new girls in the 12/12 tent on their schedule. TIA!!!

Mulch layer on Seeds Does anyone use rice hulls as a mulch? I’m trying to follow the build a soil way & he uses a mulch layer even on his seeds. I’m too scared to try that since I’m new unless any of you have had success while doing this. Any pointers will help me out a lot.

Can soil runoff from pots be reused?Soil pot run off? besides test for my ph? i have no ppm meter. Normally i use a mix of; Foxfarm happy treefrog(12quart) soil Foxfarm ocean floor(1.5cubic feet) soil Bushdoctor coco mix(2cubic feet) coco/soil New to my lineup is Foxfarm Strawberry fields(1.5cubic feet).

Is this Shell membrane crucial to life? Will this bag-seed Seedling survive?Will it survive? The seed was pried open with saliva and pruners once it broke soil. I see some brown (what I suspect to be) membrane that maybe needed to stay with the cotyledon.

Seeds in 12/12 Does keeping seedlings just the first week under a 12/12 light cycle can hurt them? I have some seeds that are not sprouting after 7 days, maybe it's because the outside temperature is too low so I decided to keep them in my growbox with my other flowering plants until they start

4/5 Seedlings have not sprouted after 1 week Germinated 5 WW fem photoperiod from crop king and planted into Mo'koko coco coir substrate last week. So far only one has sprouted 2 days ago. The other 4 have no signed of sprouting. Are the seeds dead or did i do something wrong? Should i ask for refund on the 80% guarantee?
