What I do is wait till 3rd or 4th set and when see side branches developing top her. Trick I find is to do it before she starts to going into flower and won't effect her that much. What loose in the inch or two of growth recovering you gain with tops.

to make topping worthwhile in an auto plant it has to be in a plant with great vigor and growth, I think that it should not be done in any auto plant and one must choose well. I usually do it in the third week but on auto plants that grow fast and get big, because the stress of topping blocks the growth of the plant and ends up starting to bloom. looking at your plant I do not recommend topping

Hi there, I've been doing a lot of research on autoflowers and had decided not to top as it causes to much stress to to plant for it to recover in time before flowering. That being said theres great advances in autos and a lot of people now recommended topping.......each to his own I suppose. Topping must be done when the plant has 3–4 nodes, but since autoflowers begin flowering by the third or fourth week, the plant should display 4 nodes by the beginning of week 3. Try not to cut too much since stress can severely reduce the yields. Do not Topor FIM if the plant has been overwatered or under-watered. but it is an auto, you don't know when it goes into flowering ,waiting for 6th nodes might be a gamble.once it shows preflowers, topping would be a bad idea.yours just has very short internodal distance, not small to LST.it'll probably have strong side branching I can say by looking at the photo. In my opinion, this is the right time to top.you can give it a few more days in veg by topping now or take the risk and wait for more nodes but it'll decide when to start flowering.

Hellou my friend, first of all I don't recommend you to top an auto but you could start to train her with LST and be ready for when she will develop internodes About topping, even if I don't recommend it for autos, the best way is to top when you have at least 6 internodes, you want your branches to be strong so the plant can handle an heavy yield, you can too earlier but the risk is to have a weak plant :/ If you want to see more about topping you can check my diary to make an idea, good luck :)
