Clones can look rough... Treat them well and in a short time new growth will look fine. I'm about to post some pics to my fem-breeding diary and you can look at 7 days ago vs today and it is night and day -- for the pollen receivers. The STS-applied plant looks a little rough, but reversing a plant is a bit stressful. The intended pollen receivers all look 100% better than a week ago. I topped off some new growth, so it may not look as drastic as possible, but still obvious. Closer to 7p eastern us time. have to wait for the lights to come on. Treat it well, and it will quickly recover. Top it, train it, do whatever you need to do. Try not to cut off more than 1/3rd of the plant in one sitting.. If not in a rush, no real concern about stress if you let it recover. In future, make sure growth pattern doesn't get too whacky compared to what you want to work with... top the taller one sooner. maybe thin out a branch or two if too bushy, etc.. Kinda depends on your use of the plant -- more harvest or mother plant for clones? so many possibilities... memory overflow error in the brain.

Also topping is a good choice for clones. You'll get many more mains than with a seed grown plant because of the uneven nodes

Clones will almost always have uneven nodes compared to seeds. Just work with it. The new growth will be less woody than the old growth. It's important to keep the clones in a good environment to prevent this. Also take clones from less woody or older areas of the plant to avoid this But they should be fine. The point of clones is to keep the genetics around. It must be good enough to keep. Clones have different issues than seeds. You'll figure it out overtime just like with seeds. Best of luck

Yeah, dont top it so it stops growing for a while just use LST. This will make it bushy and short like the other one in no time with no loss in growing.
