Complete idiot.” She looked exasperated, the expression was one I knew well as her display of emotion mirrored that of my frustration with my bosses. A silence hung for a few minutes, each appraising the other. Then I suddenly realized, it was her that had released the bugs, her who had tried to sabotage my work. “IT WAS YOU! You tried to destroy my experiments and halt my work” Although my words were formed with irritation, something inside felt at a juxtaposition with the words and how I was meant to be feeling, instead, there was no real anger. “Oh please, I got you the seeds.” She rolled her eyes. “Then why…” It was her turn to cut me off. “I did not know what they were going to be used for or by whom, if I had known that then maybe I would have sent anthrax instead.” I almost laughed at that quirky person this was. “Why then, are you here?” She explained that Zamnesia was not just a seed store, but a whole underground movement based around love, inclusivity and nature, that when she found out what I planned she had to stop me. Her efforts had failed she admitted, however, there was another plan, this plan was to be slower and less drastic, she did not even explain the outcome, but bid me to continue growing the plants as best I could. Before leaving she left me a burner phone to contact her by text, then just disappeared. No agreement had been reached, however so disgruntled by the CCC’s bullshit and favouritism and short sightedness, so play along with both camps seems like the best idea at the moment, no need to jump into another pool without looking for sharks. Work went into the plants, they still had issues with the small flies as once they got a foothold it will take a lot of effort to rid the plants of the pests. Now is the time to put the plant through some LST (Low Stress Training), it is important with such a short life span that the plants would need to be trained in order to get the most out of them, they shall be bent and tied down for their own good. Whichever way I choose to go with my decision on what camp to join, one thing will be for sure, the world will know my name.
