Once again into the cupboard dear friends, once again it is time for another episode of “Tales from the Closet''. Before all that, we would like to thank Zamnesia for the seeds they sent us, still waiting on a like for my grow… maybe they don’t like it, maybe they hate it, well, the last laugh will be mine once the plant is ready. Oh wait… this is reality and not one of my stories, only Joking Zamneisa, I know you love me.. Now, people of the unsuspecting world, let us delve into the CCC and find out what is happening in this week's “TFTC: The Dreaded Strawberry Cough”.
======================================================================
The commotion was what dropped the lead ball in my stomach, that lurching feeling that something had gone horribly wrong, that something was not right and that it was my work that was in jeopardy.
It was early, I was walking to my office with a cup filled with warm coffee in my hand, then I noticed a bunch of lab coats standing outside my work room looking through the window. Fear raced through my veins as my mind conjured up the worst thoughts: have my plants died, has someone stolen them?
Rushing forward I barged the petty little lab coats out of the way and looked through the window to a scene of horror, there were bugs scuttling around my plants, filthy, disgusting bugs: as an indoor horticulturist it is very dangerous to have any form of insect in the grow room, especially any that eats the plant, in the sterile environment there are no predators to keep their numbers in check, so with ample food and zero interference it would be a plague of biblical proportions on my plant.
Quickly I ordered up some Cannacure (should never have done anything without it), filled my spray tank, suited up and went in, time was of the essence.
Long hours I have now spent spraying each morning and night, the organic compounds make sure that the plant doesn’t get damaged while getting rid of bugs, not as immediate as peroxide spraying, but I do not want that in my plant, let alone in the soil.
Apart from that they are growing well, despite the slow start they are beginning to grow bush and big, the leaves are big and beautiful, no aromas or flowers yet, but there are lots of branches, and where there are branches there will be flowers eventually.
Dave stopped by and visited, he had heard the commotion caused by the infestation. His logic was that the infestation was caused by my own carelessness, that I had brought the bugs in and jeopardized the whole facility. While he was talking, all the while I could not stop glancing towards a young female behind him standing in the corridor, she looked a little out of place, just not quite right. There was something odd about her.
With the week finished and the spraying now an ongoing process, I find myself sitting with the plants more and more, just watching them grow. Nature is astounding: despite all the adversity, these little death dealers are robust and strong, showing that life will always find a way.
The door opened behind me and that woman walked in and closed the door behind her, her name tag said “Patricia”.
========================================================================
Finally my delectable denizens of the web, we have an actually story point on which to hang our hat, who the hell is this Patricia, what the hell is she doing in this story, does the writer have a plan or are they just using what is around them like some mindless beast throwing things around. Find out next week or… or… well bugger off and leave your likes.
Thank you once again to Zamnesia, I am now looking at growing a cactus as they sell seeds and think it would be exciting to grow something that is low maintenance once you get it going, and can knock your socks off. Check out their webpage at Zamnesia.com, if you haven't already you are either really bad in bed or still live in your moms closet, so if you don’t want to be either of those, have a look, you don’t need to buy any new seeds to look, but if you do want to buy try this code: ZAMMIGD2023.
Until next time, go with the wind my friends!

Notes:
Well FML, that was a rough week! The plants have not developed as well as I hoped, then to top it off I find these little flies running around the soil; it is difficult to describe the feeling to a non grower of how that feels, it is like you have failed, the soil has failed you and the plant is just being a little bitch, why won't you fight!!!! Then you remember that you took it out of its natural environment where it develops an ecosystem which can support and attract predators to protect it, wait… am I the person it has attracted? Sorry, wrong diary.
Plant consumption of fertigation has gone up, I do not irrigate much now as I introduced the plant to nutrients over a cup of tea, however the plant said it would only like to be around nutrients in small doses.. Each fertigation is brought to within PH6.2 and 6.4, so far there are no signs of burning and the growth is going well.
Cannacure has helped quell the bug uprising, It is one of the downsides of growing in summer, there are bugs everywhere and it just takes one to find its way in.
Altogether it has been a good week, the plants are growing, we are winning against the bug invasion and despite SC being a little smaller than the other plants, they make up for it in bush.
@Patricia_Zamnesia,
Ha! yes they are, and yes I am, they do not seem to be around much, but I do see some evidence of leaves being chewed, luckily these are autos so will be done before anything bad happens... I hope.
You are a main character! Hope you can handle the spot light.
@Jobbie, I certainly do!! It is an honor to be in one of your fantastic stories. I do hope you get rid of those pesty bugs, those little buggers are a pain in everyone's "bud's". 🌱💙
@Anonymous_2022, I currently have a plant in a small cupboard I converted, no diary just wanted to experiement, but I thought it was an auto seed, was not an auto seed, 6 weeks flower in a 45x55cm space is a bit tight lol.
🤣🤣You have captured patricia perfectly... Like you have known her for years. Still love to read all your diaries. It feels like a break during office hours. Keep up this wonderful writing, and I have to mention, the little ladies look very good. 😍It is obvious you put a lot of love in them. 🌱💙
@Patricia_Zamnesia,
Thank you for your lovely message, to me it is important to use all sources of inspiration. I am meaning to do more writing when I get a chance, like... proper writing, I will even edit it and do drafts, but that is a future project.
I love the plants, they are what keep me sane...r. If you have any other ideas or thoughts just give me a message, thanks.
And if they want to know about your past, it is necessary to tell a lie, say that you come from there, from a strange world, that you do not know about pain and that you have never cried. 🤷♂️
@XII_XII_MrGreen,
Thanks buddy, I just wanted to take it away from the scientific scope and add a little creativity, try and represent the plant and what it can do for us in fun light. Thanks for reading! 💚
