It's been a week of letting the plants be. We are getting closer to harvest on the Hobbit. The flower is really starting to firm up with a good amount of trichomes. I did notice early in the week that the light for that plant was a little too far and might be impacting the flowering, so I lowered the light (HLG 65, 3000K) just over the Hobbit. It's now closer to 12" away from the Hobbit's canopy. The bud from the Rhino Ryder that is closer to that light is a little unhappy but nothing that has me overly concerned. I'm guessing it will only be for another 2 weeks when the Hobbit will be harvested.
The Rhino Ryder just won't stop growing. The highest branch has now grown higher than the lower tote it grows in. The bud has really started to come in. I had to turn the cob down slightly to compensate for the other light I lowered for the Hobbit. The Rhino Ryder has also been demanding more water. I am up to 2 gallons every other day and I may need to start watering at least a gallon on the days in between. I do plan on defoliating a bit more and increasing the nutes to Mid Flower levels for the Rhino Ryder.
Nice tote man! Just saw your post on reddit. I was also conserned about hight, that is why I wanted a bucket, they are easier to stack. But totes give more width to work with.
Good luck and keep it up!
@CloudSlappy, I can emanate that's a pain in the ass! Luckily it's a joy to work on and expand spacebuckets with new features 😁 keep us updated on your setup, very interesting stuff!
@Trainrails,Thanks! I will definitely be adding a scrog. If I can keep the height to 1/2 the bottom tote then height won't be an issue at all. The bigger problem with height is the difference between the two plants and having the lights at a height that makes sense for both. I may put all the lights on a rail system that would allow for adjustable height of the quantum boards while keeping the cob centered.
@HighTV, Yea they are both getting pretty full. I'm starting to finally see some vertical growth, but nothing explosive. I'm hoping to get at least 2' tall.
