I think I went a little too hard on defoliating the past few weeks. Both plants haven't started their vertical ascent. I figured by now I should see them put on some height. Reading up I found that you can stunt if you defoliate too much early on. So I've left the plant alone this week so it can recover. I also realized I should be on flowering nutes so I did my last veg nutes on Sunday. I followed the rest of the week with just plain water and ended with flowering nutes. I also added some more nutrients from Emerald Harvest because I'm really liking the simplicity of their nutes along with the great results I'm getting.
Nice tote man! Just saw your post on reddit. I was also conserned about hight, that is why I wanted a bucket, they are easier to stack. But totes give more width to work with.

@CloudSlappy, I can emanate that's a pain in the ass! Luckily it's a joy to work on and expand spacebuckets with new features 😁 keep us updated on your setup, very interesting stuff!
@Trainrails,Thanks! I will definitely be adding a scrog. If I can keep the height to 1/2 the bottom tote then height won't be an issue at all. The bigger problem with height is the difference between the two plants and having the lights at a height that makes sense for both. I may put all the lights on a rail system that would allow for adjustable height of the quantum boards while keeping the cob centered.
@HighTV, Yea they are both getting pretty full. I'm starting to finally see some vertical growth, but nothing explosive. I'm hoping to get at least 2' tall.
