Watered the Hobbit on Monday and even after the full flush last Saturday I still got dark water coming out of the bottom of the bucket. Just goes to show how much nutrients are really in the resevoir and coco. This continued for the rest of the week. It started eating up the fan leaves and the aroma has increased quite a bit. The buds are getting pretty big but they don't seem totally finished. I plan on letting it go one more week before chopping her down.
The Rhino Ryder is really starting to get a strong aroma. If I leave my space tote open for a while it will stink up the place. Colas are coming in pretty thick and the entire canopy has similar growth. Took the plant out at the end of the week for one last defoliation. I also went under the canopy and trimmed all branches with new buds developing or small buds that haven't really developed. All of that stuff is coming in too late and just won't amount to much. I'm guessing I still have 3 weeks left on this plant.
Nice tote man! Just saw your post on reddit. I was also conserned about hight, that is why I wanted a bucket, they are easier to stack. But totes give more width to work with.
Good luck and keep it up!
@CloudSlappy, I can emanate that's a pain in the ass! Luckily it's a joy to work on and expand spacebuckets with new features 😁 keep us updated on your setup, very interesting stuff!
@Trainrails,Thanks! I will definitely be adding a scrog. If I can keep the height to 1/2 the bottom tote then height won't be an issue at all. The bigger problem with height is the difference between the two plants and having the lights at a height that makes sense for both. I may put all the lights on a rail system that would allow for adjustable height of the quantum boards while keeping the cob centered.
@HighTV, Yea they are both getting pretty full. I'm starting to finally see some vertical growth, but nothing explosive. I'm hoping to get at least 2' tall.
