This may seem like a silly question, but why are the contests limited to single-strain grows?

@Spazmagi, my guess is to limit the discussion of grow technique to one strain only. Otherwise the comp would have 3 times as many entries every month. On that topic, has anyone else noticed that each month the diaries have just gotten more and more kickass? There is some serious competition on this platform now!👍

@Spazmagi, I don't know for sure, but my guess is that back in the day a couple winners had three strains going so they could add 3 weeks (one per strain) per week so over 16 weeks you had 48 weeks with multiple likes giving those folks an advantage compared to a killer single strain grows which is too bad if those multistrain folks also only had like one great plant in the bunch.

@Spazmagi, I wonder that too. My 1st grow was 2 strains and I couldn't enter the newbie comp unless I redid everything and split it into 2, which was way too much work. I was bummed cuz i thought i might have a chance in that 1. If nothing else maybe have single and multiple strain categories. I dont see what the difference is between 2 plants 1 strain or 2 plants 2 strains....

@nbacmprgirl2018, voting doesn't start until the month is over and the comp has closed, so the positions of each diary don't mean anything until they've finished voting/announced the winners ☺️✌️🦊
