37 days left... Good luck all. I hope they have another solo cup event, I'll get in the next one as I didn't have enough time for this event. Either way just wanted to wish you all the best of luck! Happy Growing

Interesting contest, I have to participate 🔥. Still, there are a lot of diaries where it’s clear they don’t know what 16 ounces are, sadly they’ll probably be discarded right away. Good luck to everyone 👽

For People living in Countries using the Metric system a 16oz cup is 473mls

Regarding the roots staying in cup completely, what of drainage holes; snip snip? Can I use two cups, one in the other, for drainage purposes? Or strictly just one cup (possibly without drainage because of roots)?
I need to know specifics, because im totally joining this!

@DonaldTrump, update: spotted at the Skydome Toronto, hanging with Drake from 6 feet away. This was around 10pm EST. I think they were playing pokemon go.

@416fireman, good deal! So will you get all our diaries moved in for us then? It just gives me harvested diaries as a option.

@Pmal027,that being said most solo cups even have the volume printed on every cup... be in ur best interest to picture and document that.

HiddenColorado commented6y ago
@416fireman, just make the rule it has to be a solo cup. It’s so simple. If it is not a solo cup don’t count it. That is the only way to keep it fair.

@416fireman, thanks for the info, my entry doesnt identify size but i marked it as 500ml without even knowing the volume, nowdays i know its about 200/250ml, but it was the first grow, i did it accidentally and had no nutes or anything yield was about 0.2g dried RIP myself

@Polaskis, autos don't need a schedule. People grow them indoors becuase they lost their timer or it broke.

I'm thinking about starting a Solo Cup World Cup (TM).
32x 500 ml (16.9 Oz) transparent solo cups. 32x random, unknown, "bagseed" seeds.
5 vegging weeks, scoring each week, eliminating males, hermies and bad looking plants.
16x plant playoffs, let the best compete head to head until just two remain to decide the best out there.
I don't care about prizes, if you want to follow anyone without an agenda on this site we're what you're looking for!
I'm hoping to have some support, if you're interested in me participating in the format I just described, let me know! :)
Good smokes!

@DonaldTrump, I'm proposing entering 32 times this contest in a "meta-contest", working hard to get the best of each week/stage and help the overall contest as this is in the exact same vein as the original.
Sorry if you think I was proposing a different contest, I just want to upload my pictures, I don't care about winning or prizes.

I can fill the cups up to 473ml very easily, it's just the default tiny little border any pot needs to avoid spilling water. 473/500 c'mon do the math.
It's not worth it, you're arguing about a tiny percent in container size, like that would make a difference in who is picked. It's not a contest about size or yield, so being purely subjective, what the heck are you afraid of?
I was just offering good content and good quality competitition. I don't care about the prize, and I actually resign it before participating.

@DonaldTrump, not to be a bitch about your "rulez" but you should have make them clearer.
500ml IS a 16 Oz solo cup, I'm sorry buddy but that's the truth.

For everyone who forgot. it must be a 16 ounce solo cup. That’s it. If it is not in a solo cup they won’t look. Have fun solo cup grows are awesome. I’m shooting for an ounce or more

@HiddenColorado,
No. It’s 16oz or less container. They’re gonna change that soon. Doesn’t have to be solocup.

@416fireman has got this man. I know the mans been tirelessly going at this contest to keep it straight and fair. No one will win this that didn’t deserve it. Super stoked to see all the good legal entries here. Keep up the good work guys!

@nobodysbuds, You're a bad player and your solo cup is crap!
Did you think you'd win with that? 😂
You accuse me of cheating and you come to rot my victory because you are jealous!
Try to make a correct culture diary and you can win a cup to a contest and stop criticizing bad loser that you are!
A cup that deserves it's not by crying and shouting at the plot that you will win something good and you will win
Tramp beggar 🖕

@Master_weeda, what a double standard you have. Say whatever you want, but it’s enough to read the rules and realize who is right. Regarding the prize, I’ll say again that I care little about it, but it should be awarded based on the stipulated rules. Let any grower win, but it’s a must that they follow the rules.

Why can't everyone be happy... I learned a lot from this grow and wouldn't have if there wasn't the contest. Lots of fun, I hope all the negative folks out there don't ruin the possibility of another one. It's just seeds... Don't get your panties all in a bunch!

I didn't catch it.
Should I use a 16 ounce cup for all the time or Can I change the pot?
Sorry for my English, advice are welcome

@Filippo,U must keep it in a 16oz (473ml) container throughout the ENTIRE grow. You CANNOT transplant or u will get DQ. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

What a good argument broke out in the comments, when will the organizer show up?
The application of rules should be consistent, and these should be the basis for selecting the winner.
