What would you suggest and is it okay or not?

I was performing LST so she could come out of her scrog hole but while I was moving the stem I accidentally snapped her and ended up removing it so the buds below will remain. Now, I was wondering how long to dry and cure, since my weather is tropical hot and dry in the afternoon from 2/5pm I tho leaving the bud hanging for a day and then placing it into a book was going to dry it fast and it did, I'm not sure if it got me any high since I mixed it up with some weed we have around in Venezuela which is not even close to these genetics obviously, so anyways I mixed up everything and got a smoke and I did feel different once I tasted but still I didn't think it was going to work since she was at week 7 and still need time to grow those buds full of trichomes.... My question here is Can you take one nug off the plant at week 8 and try it and how would you do so without affecting the yield or the plant? Should I dry and cure the same way or would you suggest any other way? Have you done that before guys? Thank you so much for your time and support happy growing everyone :)
