Over the next several weeks...What should I expect to see, regarding the fan and sugar leaves. Do the nutes in the leaves get consumed for flower production? I don't want to freak out over any change in appearance. I plan on only using pH'd water till harvest. Thanks 4 the advice

the plant will only canabalise itself during the flower stretch if it doesn t find its nutes in the soil or through it's foliage. The rate at which the plant will seek out nutrients depends on its metabolism which in turn depends on the light schedule and the "vapor pressure deficit" (VPD). You're 10/10 VPD-wise, and your light schedule is intense actually so you can expect BIG growth ! Big growth means more nutes needed, simple as that. Therefore you should for sure expect to see some yellowing, starting with the bottom fan leaves. Since you're not going to be giving any more nutrients, you need to keep an eye on what's going on - there will be "expected yellowing", but you need to stay on top of it in case you run into som "unexpected deficiencies or related problems... does this answer your question at all? hope this helps ! 🚀

Hello! During the next weeks you plant will change from a dark green to a lighter green even yellow at the very end of flowering but it will be normal. At week 7 you will have to stop your grow fertilizer and only use the bloom one to help the plant getting fat buds. Like you said the nuts will be consumed for the flower production if you have a deficiency and if not then it will be the flush that will makes her consume her stocked nutrients because you will wash the soil from the available nutrients and in attempt to finish her flowering she will use the nutrients stocked in the leaves and take a yellowish colour : it's called the senescence. During the all process your sugar leaves will get more and more charged in trichs. I hope it will help you 😁✌️🏼

Hey there @DeaneR In regard to fan and sugar leaves you should expect them to build up with Trichomes as a natural self protection against the elements (and for us the THC). If you are experiencing any sort of Chlorosis(yellowing) or Necrosis(dying) of the leaves then you have a deficiency or toxicity that's being caused by something (most notably a direct lack of nutrients). However during the final weeks of flower you will see whats known as the 'fade' as the plant naturally looses its green color, this is nothing to worry about! Hope I helped bring insight into your question Best of luck friend. Don't forget to update us 😅

You are in good shape. Expect to see fan leaves starting to change colour. This could start to happen around week 3 given how much it’s developed in just one week. If it starts at the bottom and moves up slowly this is normal. I leave them on until they come off with a gentle tug. Just try and keep the environment as stable as possible. Don’t change too much at this point (lights, temps, water pH etc). You can keep spreading the buds out to give them some more room if you need to do something, and make sure there is lots of air flow in the tent and through the buds. Water with a good amount of runoff and keep doing what you’ve been doing. They look great. Worst case all the buds that have formed so far will be smokable!
