I forgot to turn off the lights…

just realized that I forgot to turn of the lights in growroom. These are the main lights, not the growlights. So my plants have had 48h of daytime… How bad is this? They are currently at the beginning of week 3 of flower. I just turned of the light, growlights start in 3h.

I’m sorry but keeping lights on for 24 hours is just not good for an autoflower. Even though it’s an auto some may say “it doesn’t care”. That’s wrong. A plant needs a bit of dark time to sleep and recover for a new day. That’s fine some people want to keep their lights on for 24 hours. It’s their garden they can do what they want. I personally think it’s bad advice to say keep the lights on for 24 hours.

You don't tell us whether you're growing autoflowers or photoperiods or what kind of lights you're using... but I can tell you if they're autoflowers, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! In fact, I grow all my autos under 24/7 lights because I need to keep the temps up, particularly at night when the ambient temperature in the room I've got my tents in is much lower than it is during the day. I could be wrong but I think folks went to an 18/6 light schedule way back when in order to try to contain their electric bills... with LEDs, cost is really not a consideration any longer and autos just don't care... The other way to look at this is to say that one "mistake" is not going to ruin everything especially if all you're worrying about is the amount of light your plants got for 48 hours.... I don't have much experience myself but I DO know there are far worse "mistakes" to make... Good luck with your grow and keep learning along the way!

You should be ok if autos no biggie, photoperiod you gave them a reveg shock, but I don't think it was long enough. Should be ok just try to avoid same incident in future. Good luck and happy growing 🌱

The best you can do is to just control the situation moving forward. I mean there’s nothing you can do to change what happened. If it’s a bunch of autoflowers it shouldn’t have much of an impact. If they’re photos they might be slightly stressed but control your 12/12 light cycle and I don’t think you’ll have any issues. Cheers 🤙
