Amber trichomes not coming through

DangerMouse
DangerMousestarted grow question 4 years ago
I'm curious of anyone knows if this strain produces amber colored trichomes. I've read some stuff on the internet that certain strains produce almost none at all. I can't tell of people are telling the truth or I just should have more patience and wait for them to show up 😄

When you believe it's time to harvest, I do suggest you to put in 48h of total darkness, more trich will appear, bigger they will get, and some of them will go from clear to cloudy, and from cloudy to amber.

Pretty sure you will normally very true sativa strains will not amber or pink /purple strains quite hard to tell sometimes. But yours are still only about 50/50 cloudy so it may come in a couple of weeks. As soon as you see the first Amber you want to start flush and within a week or two they'll probably be what you're looking for. 🌱👍

Hey Growmie, The info that you researched would be correct, some strains just don't really amber, cloudy is about as far as they go, which is a true indicator that it is time to harvest, also looking at how the pistols turning brown and receding back into the bud is a big give away she's ready. May you have a great harvest and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

You will not always get amber trichnomes you need to look for milky white trichnomes as well since they are an indication of buds rdy to harvest too.

Hey friend, So i had literally the exact same question and worries on my most recent grow. I wasn't seeing color changes like i expected, even though i was well into 8-9 weeks of flowering a fully discolored pistils. So....with yours I'm seeing just a couple amber colored ones popping up in photo 6, so i think a little more time and more will show up. But I do think some strains may tend to be more glassy/milky vs amber. What i would watch is the pistils for discoloring and shriveling up...and also the breeders time line for flowering and just estimate off of that. The buds look big and mature and your at 15 weeks, so I think harvest isn't far off. Happy trimming ✌️
