lst is probably better, but if you only remove a small bit of plant material when topping, that 1.5-2.5 growth nodes you clip off won't matter much in the long run. Since your auto is on it's own timer, anything you lop off can't be mitigated with a longer vegetative phase as you can with photoperiods. losing a couple nodes won't add up to much of a loss. Lop off something substantial to do it to too many branches and that will definitely impact yield in a noticeable way. Maybe, just the apical meristem and stick to manipulating apical dominance after that and it'd be fine.

Noooo topping for non-photo plants. Because they're on a time crunch (until flower) they can have serious trouble rebounding back into good health from it whereas a photoperiod can get all the time in the world to recover. LST is the way! 😁

Your plant is going into preflower soon, only top if you are 100% certain that you get height problems. Transplanting already is a lot of stress adding stress from topping on top of that is a second reason not to do it imo. If you only have one plant, thats a third reason not to top. Better no risk if you only have 1 shot...

If it's an auto it's highly advised that they don't get topped. The yield will be greatly compromised.
