Hey everyone! It’s good to be back with another update on the grow!
Today marks a special day, it marks one month and Today, I decided to properly utilize my lunch break and go to the local grow store to get some more coco- I picked up some “cultivation nation” which is made by fox farms- I’ve used it in the past, it’s a convenient pre-buffered 70/30 mix of coco and perlite. And what does that recent acquisition mean? It means that today is also TRANSPLANT DAY!!
Now I was only planning on transplanting the rock candy cake, but I had last minute decided to transplant two of the wautomints and was glad I did! I saw we were lookin ever so slightly root bound in those plastic pots they were in- the good news is- it looks as though I caught that at a great time and they are now in 3 gallon fabric pots which will be the pots they remain in until harvest!
The bad news however, is that I have two more of those in the same size plastic pots… one of those is just a slight pain as it is staked and tied down here and there, however- the other of those two wautomints is currently entangled in a scrog net alongside the frosted melon wreck…
I was going to just leave it but when I saw the roots, not only did they look like the were starting to bind up a bit, but when I saw the color I was a bit concerned… the looked like they starting to darken a bit towards the bottom… beginning of root rot maybe (haven’t googled it yet) it seems sill to me now that I don’t know what root rot looks like yet, but truth be told, to this point, I have only had experience with fabric grow bags. So more to come on that situation and if I end up repotting those- I suppose we will find out next week!
Back to your regularly scheduled programming… (the rock candy cake 🎂 🍰)
Similarly to the aforementioned wautomints, (the transplanted ones) I also up potted into the 3 gallon. When I got a look at those roots, I was happy with how they were looking so I felt better about moving it to the bigger pot. I added some mykos to the mix and boom everything is sitting pretty for now-
I’ve had to do a lot of moving. I took down the anvil and cosmic apprentice, they are currently hanging to dry, I have two plant in that scrog net as I had mentioned and then have 4 in the closet. All the autos are flowering and I kind of hope that they hurry and the rock candy cake stays low and slow for just a bit-
The reason being..
With the cold weather rapidly approaching, I’m afraid that I am about to have to shut down one of my spaces but I think in this next week I may have a little somethin headed my way, that as fellow growers, enthusiasts, etc, you might be interested in- so stay tuned next week for more on that! I may try to squeeze in ONE more run before the rock candy cake is the sole occupant of the one running grow area!
My god! Your plants are full full full of buds! Incredible result!
