Hey there my fellow cultivators from around the world, I hope everyone had a fantastic and productive week! We are back at the beginning of week 7 with some more updates!
It’s been said that time flies when you’re having fun and I have to say at least in my perpetual grow, I have been having a blast and I feel like I blinked and we are already in the 7th week of the grow, 6th week of veg.
I am currently doing sometime in trim jail, and the gumming up of my scissors is getting me excited for the sticky goodness that will be curing for the next month and a half, I just have to get it all jarred up!
2 of the wautomint plants were a bit ahead of the others so I had taken those ones down and today will be hanging them to dry for 7-10 days or until the branch has the right snap that I try to look for- when I try to snap the branch, I am not looking for a clean break. I find when it gets to that point, it is a little too dry for my liking.
On one hand it’s awesome to see so much on that drying rack and then on the other it is quite daunting….. Trimming as I have mentioned, is a great problem to have, but admittedly happens to be quite the tedious task even when watching a good show or movie so I will have to do my best to keep up on that
The other two actually shouldn’t be too far behind, I plan on just giving them water from here on out and then I will be taking those down which will actually free up a whole tent! That tent is reserved for my upcoming semi secret project that I will be announcing on my next post most likely and I’m super excited!
Now with the perpetual grow, seeing this much un-utilized space, especially with so much great genetics in the queue waiting to be planted, is a bit painful and makes me twitchy but I am truly excited for what lies just around the corner! It won’t be a ghost town in the growspace for very long, oh no, we will have new residents in there! quite soon in fact!
That of course brings me to the star of the show which I always like to leave for last- right now, the rock candy cake has that space all to herself and she is enjoying it quite a bit! I am glad to be able to give her that whole area finally but it pains me to not have a larger space but that’s some thing I can strive for down the road-
As far as when I am going to flip to flower, I am basically waiting until she fills out the whole space by herself and then we will flip the light schedule to 12/12 but for right now we are going to keep on keeping on and I’m just goin to have to be patient. I absolutely cannot wait to see what this looks like all grown out! This thing is currently throwing out huge 11 point fans and I have no doubts that under the right circumstances, this thing could be an absolute monster in the best sense of that word!! 🔥🔥🔥🙌
As I had mentioned above, I have a long queue of great genetics just patiently waiting for their turn in the tent and although I am confined to these two spaces, that certainly has not stopped me in my hunt as well as acquisition of new quality genetics that I have been drooling over for a while now. I have included a picture of one of my most recent acquisitions and I think from here on out I will probably be including a couple pictures I have taken throughout the week and posted on my Instagram account. One of which was one of those killer 11 pointers that came from the rock candy cake after a little defol.
I defoliated just a bit and fimmed a few more times to see how it grows out- while I’m waiting for it to do what it’s going to do, I have to decide how I’m going to spread that canopy out from where it’s at currently- right now I have it staked and I can probably stretch it a bit more but I am seriously considering that bamboo scrog I mentioned last post. I think it could be really fun to make however every time I open that closet door and see the positioning of those stakes, I can’t help but feel that I may want to reconsider that previous statement.
In any case, it’s been a blast! I am always at the edge of my seat taking it all in. I love all this variety- strain to strain, pheno to pheno this has proven to be a most excellent adventure and I am honored that you have chosen to come along for the ride.
On that note, I think that about wraps it up for this week- I hope everyone has a great week. I hope you are all super productive, make great strides and revel in the fruits of your labor! Cheers everybody! 💚🤙
