Day 0 - 17/03/2023 - Germination starting. Strain : Kukulkan ( Pyramid Seeds - Barcelona/Catalunya) Type: Feminized Photodependent. Finally and after three seasons - all around 2022 year, when I moved from my old house to an apartment and mandatorily I was forced to change from my usual (and beloved) outdoor grows to a brand new phase on my grower "career" as Indoor grower. Lots of things have changed ...so on the spring of 2022 I've started with a 130 watt blurple LED set but after almost a year a change to my actual 300 watts full spectrum LED set ( 2 X Mars Hydro TS 1000 150 watt) and fill the "dark spot on grow area" with a couple TLED tubes of 26 watt for veg phase and another two 26 watt TLED tubes for blooming (it simply changes the Kelvin light temperature measurement) and by this way having additional 52 watts both for veg and flowering phase. So I have fixed a 352 watts for 0.70 m² to improve the yeld potential. So, right now a new season and this time i'm going to link spring to summertime (scheduling a 16 weeks minimum growth period and mainly due to the previewed timeline on the strain flowering period...an outstanding 55 days and one of the most short flowering period on the seed banks on feminized photoperiod options), so starting the seedling during the first days of next week, so probably around 20th. March and up to at least the week of July 10th. So instead (and I was really annoyed of getting the thin buds) of the usual auto flowering stuff, I rather prefer the old good massive buds that the photoperiod stuff give us at the end. Waiting another month, at the end represents "old school" buds both on yeld amount but mostly on a top notch quality and I am happy to return to get full control on the full process of growth...defining the vegetative phase length, assuring the genetics stability possibilities and the parents of the Kukulkan are simply two of the best "parents" that you wish for, both the Chronic strain (that isn't a heavy THC strain but one of the most giggly stuff that I know on weed world) and the Black Domina, that is so far one of the best strains that was ever been developed (on both genetics, the Northern Lights characteristics and the purest Afgahni lines are a sign of an outstanding "high" on the psychoactive type of "smoke"...so that was one of the most important reasons to choose this particular strain). Not being one of the "big names" on seed banks, the catalonian bank Pyramid from Barcelona has always strong options on the regular feminized "world" and this Kukulkan strain is a very particular strain as far as I know it. For sure, guaranteed from the day 1, an outstanding size of flowers, a fantastic organoleptic character, the "out of this world" genetics stability and with an endless potential of being one of the most fantastic plants I have tried to thrive. All of this is simple and plain, the Kukulkan - the Mayan "Feathered Snake" and Lord of the Winds, is by definition the ultimate conqueror...by the grow that I wish for is a conquest with the philosophy that I want to implement from day 0. First, a full "living soil" experience. First, the Gold Label Special Mix Soil (non previously fertilizes one). So right from the start, the soil preparation mixing the Special Mix with some worm humus, then the "success triad" as I name it - Mycoterra Kraken mycorrizae (the amazing Glomus iranicus thin grains), plus the TRIFOR powder (Trichodermae harzanium with some kelp mixture) and last the Bactohemp compound - some Azo bacteriae, beer yeast, etc. This mixture of three basic funghi/bacteriae structure allow our grows to develop themselves, without overfert, due to the fact that the combining of the properties of the three compounds allows us to integrate over root system, an early balance that will led us to a clam and successfully season. On this three compounds : full protection against plagues; the certainty that the "living soil" will allow to integrate on perfect amounts the NKP basics, so as the most balanced biological transformation of the excess of nutrients on quelates that the bacteriae on the roots will integrate as sugars and other metabolites and mostly the Trichodermae almost on every aspects, such as an early root system developer and a seedling protect over pathogens. Beside the grow will occur on a 25 liters airpot, a perfect volume for a perfect grow of a photodependent feminized strain with Kukulkan overall characteristics. The philosophy on next season will be with the three "living soil" compounds linked to a fantastic line of nutrients, the Mills pack have for instance one of the most optimal Sillicium/ Silica enhacer in the market, beside I will try to get the lowest nutrients use as posible and be as much natural as I can get and most, use the natural conditions of the local weather - such as temperatures not below than even 17ºC during nighttime and feel once again what the regular feminized strains gives us, such as the genetics stability, the full control over the vegetative phase and the overall height that we want to have and mostly starting blooming when we want to. Despite of a longer time schedule from germination to harvest, the option on a photodependent strain, allow us to have a full flowering stage only with a 12/12 cycle ( and having the knowledge that normally the vegetative will last at minimum 7 weeks). Kukulkan isn't a non balanced height "skyscraper" grow...normally not more than 1 meter height naturally, but despite of it right from the start my intention will be to apply during veg phase at least two toppings and the essential LST. The basic philosophy will be "full quality over quantity", so despite of knowing that the yeld amount could raise up to 650 g/m², that on a simple grow on a 0.70 m², but with full light coverage, the 350 g dried herb isn't a overrated expectative and having the 350 grams of an outstanding quality yeld will be a final "mission accomplished" scenario. On next days I will tell all of you, my "growing brothers", first if the seed germinates - I have order itfrom a store, like four months ago, and I was expecting a seed on the "official" pack and the store send me a kind of a free Kukulkan Pyramid Seeds sample and it will be impossible to determine if the seed didn't pass through conditions that spoiled it, such as having hot temperatures on the transportation or even being on the store with stay on a refrigerator, being able to stay preserved more than at least three years (last season the best yeld that I get has come from a Delicious Seed Auto Dark Purple seed (that I have preserved more than three years on a locker without being on refrigeration and the seed has germinated and the growth was amazing). So the next lady on a row is the Kukulkan and I am thrilled, excited and so much happy of doing again non autoflowering strains and achieve the enormous joy of starting a complete photodependent experience, controlling the light schedules, starting to developing on soil an outstanding strain and mostly, coming as always each week and share with all of you lads, all the evolutions on not only "another" grow, but a wonderful return to the most natural kind of strains - the ones free of ruderalis and the ones where your experience is mandatory to pass from "what you desire" to " what your knowledge allows you to obtain. Jah God on command, protecting all of us of the lack of understanding, the ignorance of the restraining authorities and people that doesn't understand that "weed isn't drugs" and that allow us to keep developing our skills in the "growth world". Green greets and a big hugh to all of you.
