BLOOM TRANSITION WEEK 2 (Dec 6-12)
---------------------------------------------------------------
____________
Dec 6 (6L)
Mix: 30ml CaMg, 36ml A, 36ml B, 25ml PB Tea: 5 gallons water (X2)
= 2.0 EC / 5.9 pH
This was a big day. Everyone got a good soak tonight. All pots except BD4 were super light so, 6L each to get runoff. Got about 1L from each, so kind of a flush, but with a 2 EC feed. I didn't measure the runoff, but I'd guess it's around 2.5-3.0. Not finding any burnt tips so I'll step it up to 2.2 EC next feeding.
I defoliated pretty heavily. I don't usually do it until day 21 but I feel like it's better to do it early and let them recover before pistils start. The fan leaves absolutely reeked. Pure skunk, like fresh roadkill.
I tied all the branches down so they're almost the same height as the beginning of week 1 now. I'll take a photo tomorrow morning to see if they bounce back. One of the King's Tart looks SUPER pissed off. They've been the divas so far.
Lamps are still running at 75%. Probably keep them there until week 3 and send it. Environment has been nearly perfect outside of a brief spike at the end of lights on when I run the dehumidifier.
_______
Dec 7
No water today. Will give them a good dose tomorrow night and check the runoffs.
______________
Dec 8 (6L)
Mix: 30ml CaMg, 36ml A, 36ml B: 4 gallons water = 2.2 EC
BD4 IN: 2.2 EC/5.9 pH (19c)
OUT: 3.1 EC/5.9 pH (20c)
BD5 IN: 2.2 EC/ 5.9 pH (19c)
OUT: 3.0 EC/5.8 pH (20c)
KT4 IN: 2.2 EC/5.9 pH (20c)
OUT: 3.1 EC/5.6 pH (20c)
KT5 IN: 2.2 EC/5.9 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.8 EC/5.9 pH (21c)
10P6 IN: 2.2 EC/5.9 pH (20c)
OUT: 3.3 EC/5.6 pH (21c)
10P7 IN: 2.2 EC/5.9 pH (20c)
OUT: 3.6 EC/5.8pH (21c)
• Pistils appearing all over
Runoff EC is a bit high but there's an end of week flush with 1.0 EC CaMg/PK 14/15. This is just to get rid of the old nutrients built up over the veg period and kickstart blooming. I'm not seeing any signs of nute burn, just some slight purple streaking starting which should clear up after the flush.
It's taking about 36 hours for the containers to fully dry out now so I'll stop watering on Monday and flush Tuesday (Day 14).
_________
Dec 9
No watering until tomorrow night. I haven't done the Silica feeding yet this week so that's next. There's small budlets everywhere and the smell is building. Huge fan leaves all over the place once again so I may decide to defoliate again at the end of this week or next. The KT's are both throwing huge fans in the middle of the canopy and I'd like the secondary branching to have room to go up.
_____________
Dec 10 (8L)
Mix: 22ml CaMg, 22ml Silica, 12ml PK 14/15:
5 gallons water (x2.5)
= 1.4 EC
• All pots completely dry except BD4
BD4 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.0 EC/6.0 pH (21c)
BD5 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.3 EC/5.9 pH (21c)
KT4 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.4 EC/5.8 pH (22c)
KT5 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.7 EC/5.9 pH (22c)
10P6 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.4 EC/5.8 pH (22c)
10P7 IN: 1.4 EC/6.0 pH (20c)
OUT: 2.5 EC/5.8 pH (22c)
Outside of KT5, all plants are down to 2.5 EC or less. No water tomorrow, flush at 1.0 EC on Tuesday, then back to regular bloom feed. I'll start at 2.2 EC and work up from there depending on how they respond.
The room is basically full corner to corner now. Don't think I'll need to do too much more training, but more than likely another round of defoliating...I should probably prune all the little branches on the inside while I'm at it.
Lamps go up to 100% start of week 3.
____________
Dec 11
• No water
_____________________
Dec 12 (Flush: 8-10L)
Mix: 5ml/g PK 14/15, 1.5ml/g CaMg
= 1.3 EC / 6.1 pH
• All plants but BD4 were dry
• Defoliated all
• Runoff 1.7-2.0 EC / 6.0 pH
Great week, everythings running smoothly so far. The smallest plant (BD4) takes the longest to dry out. When all the others are bone dry, she's still got some moisture left.
I'm going to try to water twice a day going forward. Not sure I want them to be drying out all the way anymore. My best run had me watering twice to three times daily. Will be looking to give them a small dose a few hours before lights off.
You planted awesome genetics for real!!
GHSC and Ethos are the bests seedbanks

@gottagrowsometime, Thank you man. I had a great pheno out of 3 KTs last round...sadly didn't take any cuts. I don't think I got it this time because the keeper grew taller than these. Been running Ethos mostly for the last few grows and they've been impressive. Highly recommend
See the game last night, kicked some Boston butt all over the ice😀. Good goal tending and some hungry players, go # 13, GO JETS GO!!!! Going all the way this year!!!! UNSTOPPABLE!!
Plants look great 👌, should have some good herb in a few weeks. Finally got two coats of paint in the basement, suspended ceiling goes up next, then flooring and I'll be able to set-up my tent. Had to make a trip to the pot store, first time in a long time that I had to buy some herb, it's not the same, not even close 😑... GOTTA GROW!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
@Louder, Variety is the spice of life they say, so we'll mix it up a bit and see what happens, Lambs breath and Orange cake for sure, we'll see about the others when the time comes. Can't Wait!!
@Louder, Wheeler must be wondering WTF happened to this team😵, someone lit their JETS!! Let's hope they can keep it up..
Ordered a bunch of auto's from the Crop King, started my first grow with the King so I thought I'd try agin, plus they had a two for one sale so I loaded up. I have some Lamb's Breath, close to being my favourite and some new strains, Acapulco Gold, Hippie Crippler, Orange cake and I got a freebie package of 5 seeds, Kryptonite auto from Rocket seeds. There all sativa dominant strains except the Orange cake which is an Indica dominant strain that's supposed to grow big, sugar coated buds with a very citrus flavour and smell, so we'll see. I should be posting soon, just have to figure out which ones I grow first, TOUGH CHOICE😏, Lamb's Breath for sure!!
Smok'em if you got'em!!
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, should be a sight to see come January. Predicting a ton of purple. I've got pics of all of them in past diaries if you literally can't wait 😆
@RoidBlaze, I know it looks alarming, and that could be part of it, but the other 5/6 plants are thriving. It's just the one King's Tart and they all get the same treatment.
She's the closest to the fresh air intake (which is cold) and the oscillating fan so maybe it's that.
I'm going to flush anyway but I've had runoffs that error out the meter before with no hermies.
