One of the best pesticides against thrips is spinosad. I have had sucess with canola on them as well in the past. Canola is not as effective as spinosad. But spinosad is banned in many regions so some growers just cant get it. Thrips have a stage of life that the pupate in the soil. The larva are the "worms" ravaging your leaves. The adults are longer but more slender and the have shitty wings. The are not really able to fly well but the glide from plant to plant. The bite into the plant tissue and excrete there eggs into the cell walls of the leaf. Making most surface sprays useless against there eggs. You need to attack every stage of life to stop their cycle of life... in order to eliminate them. Use ur spinosad or canola mix spray and do a soil drench. Than starting from the base of the plant upwards . Get every leaf top and bottom and slowly work ur way up the plant. Full coverage is key. Thrips are ninja bastards and are great at escape. That's why we are starting at the soil and working are way up. Leaving them no where to run... it's either get directly sprayed or drop into already treated areas. A follow up treatment will be needed 3-4 days after the first. To eliminate the larva hatched from eggs ur surface spray could not hit. Another follow up treatment about 5 days after that should have u in the clear. Now its prevention. The best way to defend against a infestation is to prevent one from starting. Start to instill preventative treatments on a scheduled basis. To keep ur garden pest free.Good luck, Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Hi, oh the lovely thrips... three or four prong approach is best. And electric bug sucker/zapper trap works really nice, yellow sticky traps all over the soil and around, diatomaceous earth sprinkled on the soil, and an ipm regimen. I use Dr Zymes and Lost coast plant therapy—- alternating. They are hard to get rid of and once you do...it fine until you buy more soil! My experience is the soil is tainted half of the time! The mini bug zapper helps a ton! Good luck. ✌️🏼❤️🌱

with 35+ plants and depending on location. This route can be a little pricier then others but predator bugs work. If your in Canada can look into getting some. or even see if they can direct you to other information if your bold enough.. Say you have a greenhouse or something ha ha ha. https://www.koppert.ca/swirski-ulti-mite/
