Auto defoliation during flowering?

Entropy
Entropystarted grow question 3 years ago
My autos are 40-44" tall from top of soil...they seem massive or maybe this is normal. Question is, is defoliation acceptable throughout flowering for large fan leaves? All my pics are post defoliation not pre. Thoughts? Thx in advance!

Hello Again my friend your certainly a busy bee today with these grow questions. Now I know why your asking look at that forest but unfortunately autos react very differently to stress than photo plants they are much much more susceptible to stunting when stressed sometimes you can help defoliation like this kind of time but I would wait until late late flower say week 7 of flower then you will have the best shot at getting her to finish without any stunting or problems slowing her down. I would wait until you see the buds start to dense up and then that is probably the best time :) though I would never advise doing it as the other grower has stated she needs her fans for nutrients and not just that she is an old plant and has evolved over 1000s of years to produce her biggest and best flowers to attract male pollen and reproduce. Now if she would benefit from having her fans stripped she would of evolved to do so. Any healthy growth you remove will be taking energy away which she could be using to make your bud that much fatter :) Though its your plant and people do have good results doing it not saying you cant just my opinion wishing you all the best pal :)

I prefer not to because the leaves store nutrients and will be used up and shed naturally as needed. However i have seen others do it with reasonable results so guess its just preference? Lol Good luck!
