I have this diaried for harvest 2nd week of August, based on breeder data (65-70 days flowering time). I turned to flowering light cycle 47 days ago. I read somewhere that breeder flowering time starts post stretch, so I added 14 days. Have I calculated this right?

Hey there , timing your plant like that isnt really the best idea because different breeders do things differently so one breeder and the next will have differences in how they say their flower time. plus you dont really know the conditions that the breeder had, maybe they're doing it indoors with hydro and using all sorts of techniques you're not, so that will obviously affect the growth rate. The only real way to figure out when you've got to harvest is to look at the trichomes using a magnifier, anything over 40x and you should be able to see them, then make a choice on how you want your weed to be that means how much amber you want in there. but yeah, usually i've found a fair few weeks over the breeder recommendation usually works out. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Morning, so essentially I think your math is correct at either assuming you're around 33 days into flowering or to add the 14 to the end making it more like 79-84 days until finish. Me personally ive found that most breeders are typically off their end date by about 1-3 additional weeks. Your personal grow environment will affect the done date, humidity, heat, etc. So id also try watching your trichromes and pistils for when the plant will ultimately be finished, just as much as the weeks. Good luck with the grow, it'll be interesting to see how close to the estimated dates your plants finish. ✌️

Hi @hcf2012 Breeders guidelines are exactly that , just a guideline. Breeders grow their plants under optimum conditions which will effect final harvest times. Your best bet is to invest in a simple hand held magnifier and study the trichomes on a weekly basis. What you are aiming for is to have all of the trichomes opaque with about 20% thereabouts an amber colour. Waiting til then will ensure you get the best harvest you can out of your hard work. Good luck with your eventual harvest and I hope I have answered your question
