2/17: -Plant 2 watered with a small dose of Tiger Bloom (4mL/gal) and a small dose of CalMag (3mL/gal) at around 6.1 pH. -Plant 3 watered with no nutrients at around 6.1 pH. -Defoliation is still constant, perhaps I should be more proactive about it early on it the growth cycle? -Plant 1 is done drying after 6 days and has been put into a mason jar for curing to begin. I also did a 2nd dry trim to remove any spare leafage. Will post dry yield soon! 2/18: -Watered Plant 3 with no nutrient 6.1 pH water. -Watered Plant 2 with Tiger Bloom (4ml/gal), CalMag (4mL/gal) and some Big Bloom (2mL/gal) 2/20: -The total yield of Plant 1 was just short of 22 grams. Not fantastic, but this was expected due to the size of the plant. It doesn't taste fantastic either. I'm assuming this is due to the speed of the drying process and not lack of flushing, since I did flush the plant with runoff multiple times before harvest. It does smell great though, so it may just be due to lack of time cured, will update if a longer cure improves the taste. -I've been continuing to flush out Plant 3 with 6.1 pH water and no nutrients, will probably begin to increase the pH of the water closer to neutral as time passes. -Plant 2 is still receiving nutrients, though that will probably stop in a week or less. 2/21: -Watered Plant 3 with 6.5 pH water with no nutrients, made sure there was some runoff 2/23: -Watered Plant 2 with some water without nutrients at around 6.2 pH with no run-off. -Completely flushed out Plant 3 after a week of no nutrients, to ensure a lack of liquid nutrients in the medium. Will be pulling it within the next week, most likely around the end of the month.

I noticed some growth that looked like seed pods on my plants. I am completely new to growing, so I was wondering what you guys thought. Is this normal bud growth, or are these seed pods? I removed a few and there was seemingly nothing inside.

These are female calyxes and completely normal for female plants. You are correct, they are indeed seed pods, but unless fertilized with male pollen, will remain empty/seedless. Masses of these calyxes result in the "buds" we smokers all seek. The older primordia/pre flowers that occur near the stems mature first and this is why they are much larger and swollen in comparison to the calyxes that are now forming in the new flowers. Hope this helps, Organoman.

My harvested weed smells amazing, but tastes horrible. I'd say a bad chemical-like after taste. I thought it was due to poor flushing, but I flushed the 2nd plant for over 2 weeks and the 1st plant for 1 week. Not sure what caused this... Overfertilization? Something else?

U been curing for over two weeks?? First of all, make sure its not mold. Mold leaves a bad weird taste after smoking it. So make sure its properly dry and doesnt have that mold whiff to it when broken up. If thats fine and u didnt spray it with anything like neem oil during the grow move to next point... Second- Sour D takes ages to cure, most of the Chem Dog family does. 2 Months is more like the time u need on that one my friend. I have Sour D im smoking now I harvested last april- And its only been the last few months its settled down and is now very very smooth and easy to smoke. But I rushed the dry, so I admit its partly my own fault but even in years when I dried slower, It still takes longer than 2 weeks to cure. Give it more time and make sure your burping often for another two weeks at least.
