At the beginning of this week I top dressed the Chemdog D with 12 tbsp of BuildASoil's Craft Blend and 2 cups of worm castings. I've decided to top dress every two weeks from now on until late flower. I will probably up the nutrients to around 20 tbsp next feeding as we are getting close to flower. Speaking of being close to flower, I think I'll be able to switch the light cycle this week. I previously thought I would have to veg her out for another week or two but it may just end up being a few days to a week extra. The two plants are getting large and are almost ready. I will do a lollipop and partial defoliation sometime early next week. I've decided against taking off a bunch of fan leaves which I usually did using bottled liquid nutrients. Now that I am organic only I will keep the larger fan leaves at the bottom that I usually prune in case my feeding is insufficient. I want those large fan leaves there not only to provide the plant with the mobile nutrients it needs during flower but also to give me an early warning of a possible deficiency. That being said, I will need to get rid of some of them. I will attempt to tuck as many of them I can in hopes of providing enough light to the lower budsites. Most of the lower branches that don't make the top of the canopy will be cut off. The plants have started to smell despite not even being in flower yet with the Chemdog D smelling the least. That being said, she does smell something funky. It's like a funky grass and skunk smell. I got me a disposable SCROG net and put it up on day 40. I want a few days to be able to train the plants under the net, then I will need a few days after lollipop/defoliation for plant recovery before I flip to flower. I expect to flip either middle or late next week. I moved the light up to 24 inches above the canopy to hopefully encourage a little bit more stretch. She is definitely a mutant this one. Her node spacing isn't uniform at all and she's freaky AF. Going to be interesting to see her flower out. See you next week!

What are you thoughts on the strange coloration and twisted growth on my Chemdog D's leaves? It looks like Tobacco Mosaic Virus but I'm 99% sure its not that. I am certain it is just genetics but would love to hear some opinions, especially if you've grown similar genetics.

I have been told that Chem lineage is known for having this discoloration. There are also other mosaic viruses besides TMV that could be the culprit

I run by humidifier with the calcium deposits in my water as well I think I just get lucky I don’t get the white specs…also very meticulous about cleaning all of my stuff. My issue is holding humidity even with a humidifier it’s so dry here been around 20% can only get my tent up to around 31-34…max 40% in these cold false Illinois winters. Girls are growing pretty damn good and I got the same temps. You should be good I think 👍🏼

@BeiingBreeziie, Yeah, the dust gets over everything: the walls of the tent, the wires, inside the clip fans, the plants etc so I just gave up on it. Don't feel like purchasing gallons of distilled water so I'll have to wait until I get an evaporative humidifier to replace my ultrasonic humidifier with. Its a bit of a bummer, but the plants seem to be doing just fine. 😀 The winters here are very dry and the summers are very wet, so I'll be having the opposite issue where I live very soon. Thanks for the comment and good luck!

@Brasco, Yeah, no problems really with her the whole grow! Glad it wasn't anything serious as she was a killer when finished! I would like to learn more about the Chemdog D's lineage and quirks but its seems like there's either conflicting or not enough information out there publicly. Thanks for the confirmation though friend.

I could be wrong but your leaves look like signs of sickness / virus which usually is in genetics or poor grow environment and lately 90% of the time it’s the breeders handing out infected seeds. With virus the spots / markings on leaves will over lap the stems & veins. Where a deficiency it skips over the stems and veins

@BeiingBreeziie, That's what I initially thought, but it doesn't seem that the symptoms are spreading to my other plant in the same tent. I was under the impression that viruses only really spread through clones so its worrying that seeds can do it as well. I'm pretty sure its just a mutation as I've read S1s are prone to mutation and I hope I'm right. Gunna have the clean the tent really good after harvest 😀. Thanks for the kind words as well.

Everything you seem to be doing is excellent! So I blame genetics/ breeder not caring / catching it
