Hey there @LegalCanadian It doesn't appear your question has been resolved! The vast majoirty of plants will gain most of their growth in the first 3 weeks of flower before the hormones shift towards making pistils and bulking up the buds. The plant is trying everything in the first half its like to grow large to create as many budsites as it can to collect pollen from a male plant. Some types of plants like 'super autos' can grow to be EXTREMLY tall so I would stay away from the superautos. For the most part you can control and manipulate your plants height through various training and growing methods such as Topping, Low Stress Training, Super-cropping, or doing a SOG (12/12 from seed). I highly recommend new growers try topping there plants to get a wider canopy for more evenly distributed buds. Hope I helped resolve your question Legal. Please feel free to ask anything else! 😎

Hello @LegalCanadian . Your plants will stop stretching after 2-3 weeks of flowering. I f you are worried you can make some kind of training ( i suggest an LST at this stage ) The purple on these leaves is a molybdenum deficiency and you have to fix it. I can't really tell you why it's happening because many information are missing like the nutrients you use and the dosage but the most common reasons are low temperatures, big temperature differentiation between day and night and bad soils. Happy growing ! 👊

I think your plants look fine ! As an indica dominant your plant will remain shorter but very bushy , a sativa plant is usually a little bit taller . One thing you must understand is that during flower all plants will stretch whether its indica or sativa a lot of it is dependent on the strain that you are growing to how much it will stretch . I say that your plants will stretch for a bit until week 3-4 of flowering and then it will gradually stop . Its going to do this to allow the space for flowers to fully develop and get big and kick ass . If your scared your lower bud sites are going to get enough light to fully form you can defoliate lightly by taking off all the bigger fan leaves that are blocking out the light from the lower sites . Don't go to crazy with this or you will stress your plant out , do a little bit at a time wait a few days to see how your plant reacts then repeat if your not happy with the current result . The purpling in the leaves is ok its nothing major to worry about , what I would be more concerned about is feeding your plant the right nutrients in order to help facilitate the transition from veg to flower it will also help the formation of flowers and help create new tops/flowering sites . All in all based on what I see your well on your way to getting some kick ass medicine! I hope this information is helpful -Happy Growing!

This bubba is gonna keep stretching for a while, I wouldn't be surprised if it became huge. Seems you have a cool pheno though : yours is getting purple strongly and early, usually that actually happens later. So you might have a mutant bubba kush on your hands, You're already SCROGing so at this point all you can do is pray really. Later on if and when you have to make a decision you can kind of bend the stem so the flowers keep growing but at an angle just use some duct tape as a bandage on the damaged part of the stem, wierd but it works ! This is gonna be a cool pheno to follow ! good luck 🚀

Around the 3d weeks of flower, the stretch stops. What you can do is to supercrop the plant. That's when you take a stem that's still green and flexible between your fingers and press firmly until you feel the inside pop / crunch; that will allow you to bend it horizontally; just be sure not to damage the outer skin.
