Transition lights from the day schedule to night schedule

Hello everyone, I have a question about changing the grow lights' schedule. I'm dealing with heat issues, currently set to 18/6 from 6 AM to midnight, reaching 31-32ºC. Should I switch to nighttime by having one longer dark period or one longer light period for the transition?

If heat is an issue, try 6pm until 12 noon instead. You can give them an extra long night or an extra long day to switch them, it really won't matter which. Otherwise, adding an hour at the end of each day and switching the lights on an hour later each day is more gentle, but also a lot more work.

HI bud. Some plants enjoy such hot temps. Biggest drawback could be if the night cycle temps have a difference over 10C. If yours isn't complaining I would leave it as is. If she is complaining then yes, I would switch to nighttime by extending the light cycle until the newly desired dark period. Hope that helps, even a little.

If you're only talking about a single night or day cycle, you really don't have to worry about it either way. Initiating flower takes a pattern of several cycles, not a one off. Stress herming is really more about crappy genetics, if they can't handle a single cycle they're pretty fragile lol. Operations that apply foliar applications have to monkey with their lighting schedules pretty regularly, which is why it's probably best to not do it more often than once a week. Honestly I don't think you need to trip over those temps anyway. It's a touch warm but nothing dangerous. Some strains would love it.

Length of darkness is what you need to be careful about. Unless you are going into flower the same day or already in it, make you can go with extended dark cycle to do this. Do not give 10+ hours of darkness in any other case, unless you want it to go into flower. to be safe, i wouldn't go beyond 9 hours of darkness. You will potentially fuck the plant up confusing it by putting it into flower, then going back to vege light cycle, otherwise. Definitely more stressful causing some sort of weird hormonal imbalance than extra light that has no effect other than the concern about giving too much. If you give extra hours of light, you can dim your lights proporitonally to give the same DLI for that day/night cycle.

An deiner Stelle würde ich mit einer längeren Licht Phase es machen.

If your growing residentially have your daylight start at 7 pm, electricity costs are normally half after 7 pm watershed, the cooler nights will help offset a little heat. A single interruption in the cycle even if it's longer than 12 normally won't flip if just once and a little over, but its best to extend the daylight hours rather than risk it. The plant does not like her internal clock getting messed up too many times, if you change her cycle times too much she can hermie from the stress.

Doesn't really matter. But if you want to be really safe about it, go with dark.
