Hello fellow cultivators from around the world! I hope you all had an amazing week whether it was spent celebrating or spent in the garden, I hope it was excellent! we are back for a post holiday update today and it is officially week 14! As you may have guessed, we are still waiting for the branches to extend to the borders of the net before we flip- there’s not a whole lot of action going on right now to be honest, I am feeding her every day and just playing the waiting game. I am however running into a problem, the problem is the fact that they’re just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day- with a full plate, it’s tough to get the time I need to tend to all that needs attention but in a perfect world I would probably spend a few hours in there in a clip in addition to my normal routine just getting in there tying things down and defoliating. It’s a great problem to have as of now at least, she is very healthy and very lush, but if left unchecked I won’t be getting the light distribution I am after, I won’t be getting the airflow that I’m after and I might be welcoming microclimates that might induce some kind of mold or a powdery mildew issue which after all my efforts would be devastating. Sooooo I need to get in there is basically what I’m saying- A week later and I still feel that my plan to flip once the fast buds are out of there is a good one.. They are all starting to flower so I’d imagine it would be around a month or so and hopefully by that time I will have reached the other side of that net and if for some reason I haven’t, then oh well, I’ll get her next time..I think she has done a great job however in the future I think I might change up my photo period Strategy- I really enjoy training these things out and I think if I had a couple more spaces it wouldn’t be such a problem but I feel like being confined to one tent it is just not really conducive to growing photoperiods the way that I do. I have a bunch of great genetics on deck ready to go and specifically as far as photos go- I have three in particular that are really burning a hole in my pocket- 1. 9lb hammer from jinxproof (that one was a present to myself and should be arriving any day) 2. Amy aces from TAO 3. Hindu root beer from pure breeding I have a buddy who only vegges his stuff for about five weeks and definitely gets quite a bit of variety going throughout the year- I might try this and see how it goes or I have also never tried a sog so that might be some thing I look into down the road. Other than playing the waiting game, I have done some impulsive holiday ordering and got a bunch of goodies for my grow! Some of it came in today sir I can divulge that of which has already arrived- however will keep the rest the secret until it comes in due to the fact that I imagine there will be much more waiting in our near future so I need a little something to spice up our updates ha ha! Today, I received both some recharge as well as some great white. I know I know, you aren’t supposed to use them together, and I won’t. However my friend that I mentioned above swears by a great white and I come from the recharge circle So I’m just going in with an open mind excited to try some thing that has come highly recommended from multiple growmies! I also received the not as exciting but quite necessary pH down.. Ants finally wrapping up today’s shipment were two inkbird controllers- One of course for temperature and the other for humidity. I am pretty stoked! This is the next step for me, dialing in some of these variables… I am excited to get those up and running I know that I am probably most excited to use those during the drying process- let me tell you, I find this to be the most anxiety inducing part of the whole process. Everything you have spent all this time working for can be lost in no time at all… it hasn’t been a huge problem but I know it can the better and I know that even more than that, it can be a little less stressful.. so fingers crossed for that ha ha! Other than that I have a few more things coming in but like I said I’m going to keep those secret until they arrive.
