Introduction - Week 21|14 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 9571.23, Another scorching yet simple week of growing! Been hotter than summer on Vulcan! Temps have continued to be an issue, but growing along the best I can. Since I’m almost certain the issue has been temps for the flowering tent, decided to lower the light intensity even further. Now the canopy’s PPFD is closer to seedling levels. So far, not noticing much change in the heat, so my increase this back later. Also submitted my 3rd entry for the GGC2024 competition! I’ve actually been quite surprised with her healthy growth! Blooming in a solo cup, she’s the smallest flowering plant in the 4x4, yet for some perplexing reason, is the heathiest one of them all. In stark contrast to the roasting 4x4 growth, the vegging plants in the 3x3 have been thriving! Had to top the plants again. These girls are just exploding with growth! For the next cycle, pretty sure I’m going to try scrogging. Getting more and more stoked for the next cycle vegging in the 3x3 tent. Perpetual is really the way to grow! Steady as she grows Ensign! Completely perplexed on what is keeping her healthy. --- If it is the light level was the issue, then I hope to see some growth improvement soon. --- Unfortunately lowering the light level did not seem to lower the temps. Hotter than the interior of a Tholian ship! --- The flowering tent has been roasting! --- Since the local weather is now more on the warmer side, decided to adjust the heaters for both tents. - [23:20]: Within the AC Infinity App, --- For the Veg Tent [3x3] controller, --- Adjusted the 'Vegetative [18/6]' Schedule for the heater. ------ Decreased the Temp target value from 82°F to 75°F --- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller, --- Adjusted the 'Flower [12/12]' Schedule for the heater. ------ Decreased the Temp target value from 78°F to 75°F --- Hmm. Probably should have done this a few weeks ago (Damnit Ensign). --- Oops. Anyways, --- During this summer cycle, I doubt temps will get colder than 75°F, but hopefully this will prevent additional ambient heat. --- Plan to eventually get a Terraform 7, but until then (probably next year), just going to deal with what I have. --- I’m just happy the vegging tent is growing along perfectly! Waited a few seconds, then misted again. - [20:30]: Repeated this process until the cup weighed 343.2g --- There was no runoff. --- Marked the watering date on the side of the cup. --- Placed her back into the tent. - [20:42]: Filled a pump sprayer with 4 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #4’s straw mulch. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [20:45]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed. --- Another week done! --- I will grow healthy plants! Unfortunately, this grow cycle is not one of them. --- Even the GGC2024 plant is showing the same leaf stress. I hope the added magnesium and calcium will help. --- Still a bit confused on what is happening in the flower tent versus the veg tent (one is thriving while the other is struggling). --- I’m pretty sure it’s the high temps, but with 2-3 weeks before harvest, just going to keep growing on!
